I found this youtube video on twitter the other day created by Asics’ Onitsuka Tiger’s brand that delivers a clever animation of the origin of chinese zodiacs with a subtle marketing plug at the end called Onitsuka Tiger- Zodiac Race.
At Urban Geko, our Orange County Web Design team also specializes in multimedia and animation. We believe that motion graphics can add a creative spin to a project in a way that infuses it with dynamism and energy.

And the race begins!

Legend has it that 13 animals (the cat, ox, rat, tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, sheep, monkey, rooster, dog and pig) set off on a race to decide which animals were to report to the Jade Emperor. The thirteen animals struggle through a race in which they must cross a river, all using their unique talents and mental faculties. In the end, the cat comes in last place which explains why it is not part of the Chinese zodiac calendar and forever loathes rats and water.

The monkey brainstorms how to get across the river.

The rabbit (my zodiac sign!) nearly drowns after its raft is capsized by the cat.

The twelve zodiac animals stand at their podiums while the cat stands in last place.
